The Loharu family have their origin in Central Asia and claim the famous poet Saint Hazrat Khwaja Ahmed Yesavi (1093–1166) as the founder of their family. Three centuries ago, three brothers came to seek their fortune in South Asia, moving from Bukhara in Uzbekistan to Attock and Delhi, and founded the Loharu state. This is the story of them and their descendants’ triumphs and tribulations in a land they made their home and left a lasting impression.
