This new volume in the “Obsession” series directed by Pierre Passebon celebrates a powerful, revolutionary and sometimes controversial selection of artworks of the male nude from his outstanding personal collection of paintings, sculpture, photography, ceramics, and drawings, challenging taboos surrounding male eroticism, and inviting the reader to reassess notions of male identity and normative views of the human body.
Florent Barbarossa is an independent auctioneer and expert in male nudes in art. He has been organizing the “Masculin/Masculin” auctions at Drouot since 2014.
Pierre Passebon is a collector and founder of the Galerie du Passage in Paris.
