Having grown up in London’s East End, Alexander McQueen left school at 15 to become a tailor’s apprentice on Mayfair’s Savile Row. He has written a number of books including The Story of the Face: The Magazine that Changed Culture and Derek Boshier: Rethink / Re-entry, both published by Thames & Hudson.
