Let There Be Light: Exploring Nature Through Light
Mahesh Nair
Explores and captures the beauty of nature through the author's camera lens, as well as the meaning of light in different facets of our life.
Mahesh Nair's interest in photography began quite by accident. When he visited The Yellowstone National Park in 2004, his family persuaded him to pick up a camera. What started as a hobby on that trip grew into a passion and finally became his profession in 2005. After spending two stimulating decades in the corporate world, he switched tracks completely in 2005 to pursue his passion for nature and wildlife photography. He tries to capture more than just pretty pictures through his photographs. His style goes beyond 'documenting a moment'and highlights and dramatizes the beauty of nature by using natural light and camera techniques. Nair is actively involved in the conservation of nature, and his works have been showcased several times by organizations such as the WWF. Through his photographs, he tries to capture the very essence of life on this planet. He hopes that this will rekindle in everyone the urge to reach out and experience the beautiful world and remind them that we are nothing but custodians to preserve it for our future generations.
