India : Five Senses
Rayman Gill Rai
Shyam Benegal
India, with its swirling colours, curious aromas and bursting flavours is a veritable feast for all the five senses. A country rich in heritage and culture, it offers incredible sensory stimulation which this book takes a look at through each of the five senses – sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch. India 5 Senses presents a series of pictures taken by photographers who bring forth a fresh-perspective and new-age aesthetic. The images in this book, almost entirely crowd-sourced, were compiled after an online competition inviting photographers to share their work. A compelling foreword by the celebrated film-maker Shyam Benegal puts the book in perspective of a country that is an enigma to the world.
