An interdisciplinary designer and a Hindustani vocalist, Pratyush Gupta embarked on his musical journey by echoing his teacher's songs without fully grasping their meaning, highlighting a significant gap in Indian music education for children.
To bridge this gap, he launched Swarpeti in 2012 as his graduation project at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology. Following 11 years of innovation and a successful crowdfunding campaign, he unveiled an enchanting pop-up book that transforms classical music education into an exciting and interactive adventure for curious learners.
A master storyteller, Pratyush has elevated his book into a captivating experience through workshops, exhibitions and theatrical performances, bringing the richness of Indian music and art to a diverse and enthusiastic audience. His work has been featured in global publications and festivals, including the Times of India, Bangalore Mirror, Courrier International, Creative Gaga, and India Art Fair.
