Pushkar
Barua Shankar
Pushkar is known for its sacred lake and for being the site of the only Brahma temple in India. It lies in a narrow valley surrounded by rocky hills in the dry desert state of Rajasthan. There are spectacular views of the desert at sunset from the hills around Pushkar. Apart from its holy identity, it is also famous for its annual cattle fair on Kartik Purnima(full moon) which falls during a few days in November. Over two lakh visitors, pilgrims and hordes of cattle and camels with their semi-nomadic tribal drivers and farmers crowd into Pushkar duringthese days.
