Marco Bagnoli
Germano Celant
A sort of catalogue raisonné, this volume gathers around 350 reproductions of installations that through different techniques – drawing, painting, print and sculpture – involve the surrounding environment, creating unexpected relations between imagination and sensitivity. Marco Bagnoli’s research is characterised by two different approaches: his work is rooted in the scientific tradition of Italian Reinassance and, at the same time, is influenced by mystic poetry and Sufi philosophy. His artistic career began in the 1970s and reflects the dispute between Conceptual Art and Neo-expressionism that shaped the period, combining these two opposing tendencies.
